PINEAPPLE PIE

This is as delish as it looks!   a crushy dough, a layer of abricot jam, a layer of pineapple chunks and a cake filling topped with a shiny layer of jam.  


ALMOND PIE

This is an almond pie with a lovely vanilla cake filling and a layer of abricot jam so the bottom layer of dough didn't become soggy. 


CHERRY PIE

I can never resist a cherry pie.  This one is with a lovely vanilla creme layer before it is covered with cherries in thickened cherry sauce.  


MASTELLEN

The vlaaien which I posted before is made with these 'mastellen'.  you can best compare them to bagels as they are soft and have a ligt cinnamon flavour.   I use them to make the vlaaien but also make some to eat just like that!  

VLAAIEN

This is an example of a dessert which I have put on my blog already but which carries lots of childhood memories for me.  It's a typical local dessert which is made with 'peperkoek' and 'speculoos'.
