RHUBARB-STRAWBERRY CUPCAKE

A vanilla cupcake with a rhubarb and strawberry filling.  The topping is a cream cheese made sweet with sugar.  

VANILLA BISCUIT WITH MARZIPAN

Vanilla biscuit that is filled with whipped cream and jam, it's covered with a layer of marzipan.  It looks a bit weird but that's because it's not a classic layered cake, it's compiled of different shunks of biscuit pushed together and left to chill in the fridge. 

COOKIE WITH A EASTER(ISH) CENTER

A classic vanilla cookie with half a little easter egg melted in the middle.  Still had some laying around and didn't know what to do with them.. found a goal though :-) 

RED VELVET CUPAKES

I made this cupcakes this afternoon with a friend, loved how moist they were inside and the cream cheese frosting on top was to die for!!  

RHUBARB PIE

It's that time of year again.. rhubarb time!!!    I got some rhubarb from my grandmothers' garden, made my own pastry, bought some delicious rhubarb and strawberry jam and added apples.  In stead of balancing the rhubarb with sugar I used apples and the jam. 

MINI CHERRY AND APPLE TARTS

I've made a crumble dough from scratch, filled one with strawberry marmelade and cherries and the other one with apple sauce and slices of apple.  I must admit that it was worth making the dough myself and it shows in the taste.

APPLE RASPBERRY CAKE

I wanted to give some extra flavour to a classic vanilla cake so I added bits of apple and a layer of raspberries in the middle.

This is a soccer cake I made for a birthday party.

This is a lemon pie with a whipped cream topping, sprinkled with lemon zest.  

ANOTHER CHOCOLATE CAKE

This is another chocolate cake with a red marmelade layer and a white chocolate topping with coloured sprinkles. 

VLAAIEN

I know what you best be thinking.. this thing looks weeeeiirrrd!!     This is a recipe from my grandmother that she has been making since before I was born.  It's a combination of "speculoos, peperkoek en mastellen". 

CHOCOLATE CAKE

I don't even want to tell you how much chocolate went into this cake.  To finish it off I felt it just needed that little bit more chocolate so I covered the whole thing with a layer of abricot marmeade AND chocolate sprinkles!!

ORANGE CAKE

This orange cake has orange zest in the cake with a orange sirope drizzled on top.
